    Ridiculous. "Tithonus" is the most beautiful poem in English (v different from saying it's the greatest, to be clear). Here's the opening. The speaker's been granted immortality by the goddess of the dawn, who's fallen in love with him. But she forgets to grant him eternal youth:

    I think William James actually is one of the all-time greats. Pragmatism is still very much a live school of thought. But, because he’s a clear and engaging writer, he lacks the mystique of a Heidegger.
