Doing a LOT more coding these days, and I'm really enjoying building and shipping the things I want to make... but building and shipping the TOOLING to make it even easier the next time around, that's some reeeaaalll good dopamine ❤️
Weird day for me. It's @EmberConf 2024, and not only am I not running the show, but I'm not even there. Why, you ask? Well, I made people, and that's a lot of work :p
Holy moly. AI is cool, and Chat GPT is fun + saves me time sometimes… but @codeiumdev (and Codeium Chat specifically) is legit game-changing for a newb like me.
I'm learning lots without needing to bug another human, and red underlines and error messages feel way less scary.
The job of an activist is to provoke change, even among allies who for some reason aren't taking action. It is a *good* thing that @__phantomderp didn't just sit down and take it. Nothing would've changed if he had.
I hope we haven't yet seen the full extent of the change.
I want everyone to understand that if I shut up and "just went along with it", I would be one more completed mark on the Rust Project's list. If I did not speak up, we would not understand this, or get to a place where leadership actually gives a fuck.
