    So far I have received the following kinds of responses: 1. Agreement 2. "Don't know, but you could be right" 3. Insults (without describing an alternative) 4. Better scenarios that look like sci-fi Perhaps it is too late to do anything, but at the very least we should agree on

    This is going to be controversial. I hate it myself. But I am beginning to fear that if I think things through to their logical conclusion, the only solution is to outlaw AI globally. With AI, the best case long term outcome is that we become "pets" of the AI. We eat, we sleep,
