New video captures the moment a suspected illegal migrant tried to flee ICE agents in The Bronx moments before one of them shot him.

Oscar Belgal, 28, can be seen hurriedly peeling out of a parking spot on 225th Street Thursday as two federal agents in plainclothes approach the front left side of his gray Honda CR-V with guns drawn, with one punching and smashing the glass of the driver’s side window.

Marcos Charles, the head of ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations division, said Belgal “accelerated” at the agents, “smashing” into two of them, which was not captured on the CCTV footage, obtained by The Post Friday.

Agents caught up with Belgal — described by the feds as a “criminal illegal alien” from the Dominican Republic with potential gang ties — about half a block away on Marble Hill Ave outside the C&G Gourmet Deli, the video shows.

Several shots then appear to ring out, out of frame of the cameras, which captured several bystanders dropping to the ground at around 4 p.m., according to the footage.

Belgal was shot in the neck and was expected to recover, authorities said.

Here’s the latest on the Bronx ICE shooting:

His 5-year-old son was with him in the backseat of the SUV, though the Department of Homeland Security said agents were not aware of that at the time. The boy was not injured.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch noted the CCTV footage at a Thursday night press conference, saying it captured the car “move forward” after two plainclothes ICE agents approached it, but that the “cameras do not capture the discharge.”

“Members of the NYPD’s 50th Precinct Conditions Team were responding to an unrelated call nearby when they heard the report of shots fired, and they responded to that scene,” she told reporters.

“When they arrived, they encountered several men in various forms of attire, including some in construction-style vests, face masks and at least one carrying a long gun,” she said.

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin confirmed the ICE agents were wearing vest cameras but the feds hadn’t immediately released the footage.

Mullin said the video captured agents attempting to use their own car to block in Belgal’s SUV before he “chose to accelerate at a high rate of speed and ram two different vehicles.”

DHS officials said Belgal, who had previous robbery and drug charges in New York, has suspected links to the Trinitarios gang allegedly linked to the shooting of a US Customs and Border Protection agent in July 2025.

Belgal’s shooting ignited intense backlash from anti-ICE protesters and a riot outside the hospital where the NYPD brought him for treatment.

Federal immigration agents whisked him away from the hospital late Thursday and he remained in their custody.
